6b
But Jesus bent down and
started to write on the ground
with his finger.
_______________________________________________________
The leaders are ready for enforcing their law. Their law is death.
JC stood up for the condemned. Not for the law. He is there. He is
under enormous pressure of the moment.
He bends down. Still there. What now?
v.7 - If Any One
7
When they kept on questioning him,
he straightened up and said to them,
"If any one of you is without sin, let
him be the first to throw a stone at her."
______________________________________________________
The law of arrogance is not satisfied. Keeps asking him.
Enforcing the policy by policing the people. What else?
JC stands up for the people: the one, right there. He goes against
the law also. This person - right here and right now - has no more dirt
than the dirt of the Pharisee law and the dirt of the Pharisee police.
Sentence her to death, if you can not deserved to be sentenced to die.
- Is any one here of not deserving the death row right now?
When they kept on questioning him,
he straightened up and said to them,
"If any one of you is without sin, let
him be the first to throw a stone at her."

v.8 - Bend Down
8
Again he stooped down and wrote
on the ground.
____________________________________________________
He extended the moment of the cathartic resolution.
What does it mean? It means that as much as people are sinners,
(and not more!) as much people are aware of the voice of prophetic
clarity. The spirit of God will disarm the spirit of any law.
Again he stooped down and wrote
on the ground.

v.9 - Silent God
9
At this, those who heard
began to go away one at a time,
the older ones first,
until only Jesus was left,
with the woman still standing there.
__________________________________________________________
For a long long moment, there was nothing else there, but "silence."
And God's power was there is that silence. And the silence disabled the
Pharisaic law. Suddenly the accuser became accused by the power of
silence. And their accusation turned against their very own selves.
Disarming the arms for not to throw the stone.

v.10 - Resurrection
10
Jesus
straightened up and asked her,
"Woman, where are they?
Has no one condemned you?"
_________________________________________________________
There is still silence there. JC breaks it by standing up and looking
around. No one is there. The crowded courtroom is empty. Deserted.
There is no need for the Pharisee like priest of a black robed judge.
He is as much sinner (and not less) like the person standing before him.
The Pharisee law, the law of Moses, the 10 commandments have no life.
Christ' s Mercy is the New Law what gives life back to the dead.
This woman was resurrected in spirit, like Lazarus was in body.
This is Christianity.
Jesus
straightened up and asked her,
"Woman, where are they?
Has no one condemned you?"

v.11 - Go! Again.
11
"No1 One2 Sir3" she said.
"Then neither do I condemn you,"
Jesus declared.
"Go now and leave your life of sin."
____________________________________________________
The voice of this woman is recorded in the Scripture. She said only
3 words. These are hers: " No(1) one(2) sir(3)" and amazingly, she was
able to speak up, even after the God-Moment' Silence. Perhaps that's
exactly what God's Plan is. Forget the past. Set for the new. And get up,
and go for the new! JC sets her ready in the new direction. Saying, go now,
and go in a new direction, at this time.
